Discover the Manu National Park
This 1.5 million hectare park has successive levels of vegetation rising from 150 to 4,200 m above sea level. The rainforest on the lower levels is home to an unparalleled variety of plant and animal species. Some 850 bird species have been identified and rare species such as the giant otter and giant armadillo also find refuge there. Jaguars are often seen in the park.

DAY 1: CUSCO, CLOUD FOREST, HIKING
Your journey begins early with a scenic drive from Cusco, climbing through Andean villages to the cloud forest at Ajanaco Pass (3,500 m). Descending into lush jungle landscapes, you'll spot exotic birds like the cock-of-the-rock and quetzal before reaching your jungle lodge to relax and recharge for the days ahead.

DAY 2: ATALAYA, MACHUWASI LAGOON, NIGHT WALKING
Start the day with a nature walk to spot birds and monkeys before heading to the river port of Atalaya, where a short boat ride takes you to your jungle lodge. In the afternoon, explore Machuasi Lagoon by raft—home to capybaras, caimans, monkeys, and more—followed by an exciting night hike in the rainforest.

DAY 3: PARROTS CLAY LINK, KAPOK TREE AND HIKES
At sunrise, visit a vibrant parrot clay lick before enjoying a relaxed breakfast at the lodge. Later, explore jungle trails in search of towering kapok trees, monkeys, tapirs, and other wildlife, ending the day with a guided night walk to spot insects, amphibians, and snakes.
DAY 4: HIKES, ATALAYA, CLOUD FOREST AND CUSCO
Enjoy a final walk through the jungle before beginning the journey back to Cusco. Traveling by boat and van, you'll pass orchids, waterfalls, hummingbirds, and Andean scenery, with a chance to spot monkeys and birds along the way—arriving in Cusco by early evening.
